Your initial appointment will last about 30-45 minutes and will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. This allows your surgeon ample time to evaluate a complex medical history or just to formulate a treatment plan and schedule your surgery. The cost of your consultation depends on the reason for your visit, and whether x-rays are taken; this cost is normally covered by insurance. At this first visit, you will also be provided with the total cost of your surgery and your estimated out-of-pocket costs.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medications (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.). Although this is all covered in paperwork, don’t hesitate to let us know if we can be of special assistance in any way. We are here to help!
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary they can be taken at our facility.
