Oral surgery is Dr. Hinkle’s destiny. His grandfather was a successful general dentist, and his father was a practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Central Ohio for nearly 30 years. Dr. Hinkle was inspired by their integrity and compassion for patient care.
Dr. Hinkle obtained his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating Summa Cum Laude. (Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps,) He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. After dental school, he completed a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. During this time, he also earned his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Hinkle was trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and has particular interest and expertise in the treatment of facial injuries, facial reconstruction, dental implants, dental extractions, and the correction of jaw deformities. His personal philosophy is to treat all patients with compassion and honesty. He prides himself in making patients feel comfortable and at ease during what can be a stressful process.
Dr. Hinkle is board-certified by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). This status holds him to the highest standards of patient care: he must demonstrate continuous training, experience, and knowledge in the field.
He is a member of the East Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Hinkle and his wife Alyssa have been warmly welcomed by the Tyler, Texas community. They are blessed to be the parents of a beautiful boy and they enjoy biking, scuba diving, and traveling.
